What if sleeping beauty became a knight instead?

A mini project I’ve been thinking about for awhile. You can find a backstory comic [here].

the graphic alone is pretty arresting!

So I heard a comment that gay (and “even” bisexual) men simply cannot play badass roles.

Wait, why is RDJ in this list?

He says sexuality for him is a grey area, and basically it depends on who you talk to if he’s bisexual or not

same with Misha, i’m guessing?

^no Misha is openly bi

if you’ll excuse me I have to make a few phone calls

reichenfeels:

  • “We’re your family, we’re allowed to make fun of you”
  • “Come on, it’s just a joke”
  • “toughen up and stop being a baby”
  • “We’re just teasing”

BULLYING IS BULLYING NO MATTER WHO IT COMES FROM.

IT JUST HURTS A FUCKLOAD A LOT MORE WHEN ITS COMING FROM PEOPLE YOU TRUST

FUCK OFF.

this post will often go weeks without a note

and then there’ll be a holiday

and it resurfaces

and that makes me sad

Children don’t read ‘genres’; they read stories. Below a certain age, they don’t distinguish between ‘true’ and ‘not true,’ because they see no reason that a white rabbit shouldn’t possess a pocket watch, that whales shouldn’t talk, or that sentient beings shouldn’t live on other planets and travel in spaceships. Science-fiction tropes aren’t read as ‘science fiction’; they’re read as fiction. And fiction is read as reality. And sometimes reality lives under the bed and has very large teeth, and it’s no use pretending otherwise.

Margaret Atwood, The New Yorker, June 4 & 11, 2012 (via electronicsquid)

“And fiction is read as reality.” I remember one specific point in my life when I realized that people didn’t travel through black holes a lot. I was so damn disappointed.
